
Crispy Wontons

Instructions
- Combine the pork mince, chopped garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, finely chopped carrots, celery, and spring onions in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until the filling is well blended.
- Separate the wonton skins and lay them out on a clean surface. Place a heaping teaspoon (about 5 ml) of filling in the centre of each skin. Lightly brush water along two borders of the skin, covering about 6 mm from the edge.
- Fold the skin over the filling to form a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Pinch the two longer outer points together to shape the wonton.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or wok to approximately 230Β°C. Fry 4β5 wontons at a time until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels, and serve immediately with a dipping sauce.
