
Spanish Fig & Almond Balls
These rustic Spanish-inspired treats combine sticky figs, almonds, and dried fruit with a hint of brandy and cloves, rolled in sesame seeds for a delightful crunch. They make a wonderful edible gift and keep well for up to two months.

Instructions
- Place the almonds in a food processor and pulse until most are finely chopped, then tip into a large bowl. Roughly chop the figs and blend to a smooth, sticky paste. Scrape the fig paste onto the almonds, then add the dried apricots, dried cranberries, 1 tablespoon of brandy, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of ground cloves. Using your hands, mix everything together thoroughly until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Spread 100g of sesame seeds onto a tray and roll each ball through them until evenly coated. Cover the tray loosely with a clean tea towel and leave the balls to dry for one week before packaging or serving. Stored in a cool place, they will keep for up to 2 months.
