Instructions
- Combine 720 ml of water with 200 g of sugar, 12 cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, and the peel of 1 lemon in a stainless steel pot. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 10 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
- Add 750 ml of red wine and heat slowly until the liquid reaches a comfortable drinking temperature — around 70–75 °C — being careful not to let it boil, as this will cook off the alcohol. Stir in 60 ml of brandy, then ladle into mugs and serve immediately.
